Making and flying paper airplanes was one of the fun activities featured during the Alamosa Public Library Carnival on Friday to celebrate National Library Week. For those who missed Friday’s carnival, Every Child Matters presents a Child Abuse Prevention & Awareness Carnival today (Saturday, April 14) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Alamosa Family Recreation Center with special guests the Salida Circus.
Alamosa Library Manager Salai Taylor, left, and Linda Cozart greet visitors to the library’s carnival on Friday. Salai offered fresh popcorn and Linda provided flavored water. The carnival, held away from the cold afternoon wind, began in the lobby and wound its way through the library.
