Errol Lee Paul Duran, 72, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, Jan. 6, 2023. Lee was born in Antonito, Colo., on July 4, 1950.

Lee graduated from Antonito High School in 1968. He went on to complete some college at the University of Colorado. He retired from the Federal Government in 2008 where he worked for over 30 years as a materials handler.

Lee married his amor, Erma, on Nov. 21, 1981. They then welcomed three daughters in 1982, 1985, and 1988. Their grandsons came in 2010 and 2011. Rounding out the family would be a sweet baby girl in 2018.

Lee enjoyed watching and playing all sports. Golf would be his favorite. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well.

Lee is survived by his wife of 41 years, Erma Duran, daughters: Lynette (Victor) Martinez, Aleesha Duran, Christina (Branden) Garza, grandchildren: Aiden Duran-Gallegos, Andre Duran-George, Aubrey Garza, mother-in-law and father-in-law Vera and Charlie Martinez, seven brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Amy Duran, three grandchildren: Austin Martinez, Angelica Martinez, and Alijah Martinez, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends.

Viewing and Rosary (Lakewood), Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, 5-8 p.m. Viewing 5-6 p.m. and 7-8 p.m. Rosary 6-7 p.m. Romero Funeral Home, 1805 S Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80232.

Cremation was chosen.

Rosary and Mass (Antonito), Friday, Jan. 20, 2023. Rosary 11 a.m. Mass 12 p.m. Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 6631-33 County Road 13, Conejos, CO 81129. Burial to follow immediately at San Antonio Cemetery. Reception following burial at Parish Hall.
