ALAMOSA – The Alamosa High School girls golf team resumed its season on Wednesday with a fifth-place finish at the Pueblo Centennial Invitational at Walking Stick Golf Course.
The Lady Mean Moose finished with a score of 310. They were led by Morgan Ortega who placed 12th with a 98, followed by Taybor Wiedeman who was 15th with a 101, and Addison Rice who was 26th with a 111.
Rye won the event with a score of 269, Pueblo Central was second with 284, Cheyenne Mountain was third with 285, and Pueblo South was fourth with 301.
Pueblo Centennial’s Paula Narros, Rye’s Kelsy Stribling and Pueblo Central’s Sofia Contreras tied for medalist honors with an 86.
Alamosa will next compete at the Monte Vista Invitational on April 16. The tournament begins at 9 a.m. at the Monte Vista Golf Course.
