ALAMOSA — Representatives from Korsail Energy and the Colorado Workforce Center were on hand at a Job Fair and Subcontractor Recruitment Event on Oct. 29 on the campus of Adams State University in Alamosa.
Korsail proposes to build a solar energy production and storage project four miles west of Alamosa.
The company is hiring for positions starting soon; most start at the end of 2025 and early 2026.
Positions include general laborers, solar PV installers, and electricians. Subcontractor positions include civil, environmental, and electrical engineers, landscaping, and environmental and construction monitoring. Korsail estimates it will hire up to 300 people to work on the project.
The company needs to submit documents to Alamosa County that will require approval by the Board of County Commissioners before the project can proceed.
