It is with heavy hearts that we inform you all that our beloved Judy Kay Martinez, 72, was called home on December 6, 2022. She was able to pass peacefully in the comfort of her home as this was one of her wishes. She also wished to pass before her husband of 56 years. Judy came into the world on May 8, 1950, the daughter of Alex Ford and Otilia Barela. Judy devoted her life to caring for her family, she was an exceptional woman and a role model to all who knew her. She enjoyed shopping, going to bingo and gambling, dancing and was very involved in church activities with her church family. Her greatest blessings and joys in life were her family and she cherished the time she spent with them, especially her numerous grandchildren.
She will live on through her loving husband Lorenzo Martinez, daughters Malissia Baroz, Audra (Skotty) Morris, Jennifer (Michael) Dietz, Nina Martinez, sons Glen (Mari) Martinez, Adam (Crystal) Martinez, Anthony "Iky" Martinez (Vanessa Aguilar), siblings Jimmy Ford, Anita Colon, Phyllis (Jimmy) Mascarenas, Pearl Ford. She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Lionel Ford, Bernie Ford, Johnny Ford, Linda Cortez and Dean Ford.
Vigil Service with recitation of the rosary will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Capulin. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 10 a.m. also at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Capulin Cemetery.
