Jua (Nita) Pauline Dieckman, 89, passed away Oct. 31, 2023, in Florence, Colo. Nita was born on Nov. 16, 1933, in Campo, Colo., the daughter of James Melvin Stagner and Paulda Hoeffner. Nita was united in marriage to Louie Dieckman Jr.
She was preceded in death by Louie Dieckman (husband), Joe and Georgia Stagner, (brother and sister-in law), Sandra Click (daughter).
She is survived by James and Francis Stagner (brother and sister-in-law), Terry Bruce and Kyoko Dieckman (son and daughter-in-law, Laine and Calvin Harding (daughter and son in-law), Mark Dieckman and Donna Strickler (son and daughter-in-law), Bret and Donna Dieckman (son and daughter-in-law). Her legacy includes nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Nita co-owned and operated the Dunes Cafe in Mosca, Colo., for 20 years. She had a very full life filled with adventure. Nita enjoyed participating in community events. She sewed, quilted, crocheted, painted in oil and watercolors, did lapidary, and leather work. She attended the First Baptist Church of Alamosa and Hooper, and Mosca United Methodist Church.
Per Nita's wishes there will be no services at this time.
