Native Manassa resident Joe Medina died December 8 in Colorado Springs.
He served in the Army for six years and retired from civil service at Fort Carson after 36 years. He loved to fish and travel. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Judy, who was his high school sweetheart. His sons Rick (Debbie) Medina, Scott (Stephanie) Medina, and daughter Sandra (Bob) Travis. His grandchildren Resha (Sean) Coffey, Tarin (J.R.) Loesel, Ryan (Crystal) Medina, Rachel Travis, Matthew Travis, Brandon Medina, and Jarrod (Ireland) Medina. His great-grandchildren Kael, Jasmine, Adley, Ryker, Archer, Jupiter, and Raina. His four brothers Bernard (Clorenda) Medina, Lupe (Lucy) Medina, Manuel (Lita) Medina, Ubaldo (Patty) Medina, and five sisters Elva (Otto) Espinosa, Donna (Pat) Martinez, Rose (August) Martinez, Gloria (Oscar) Villanueva, and Debbie (Mohammed) Magled.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Alfirio and Elsie Medina, brother John Medina, and sister Mary Medina Davis.
