Monte Vista resident John (Johnny) Madril went to be with the Lord on Jan. 30,2023. Johnny was welcomed into the world on Feb. 4, 1971, to George Martinez and the late Priscilla Madril. After high school he married the love of his life Mona Medina, the two welcomed a daughter and son and that meant the world to him.
Johnny worked construction most of his life. In his free time Johnny enjoyed working out and spending time drawing, he also enjoyed riding around, listening to music, and getting tattoos.
Johnny’s greatest pastime was the time he got to spend with his children and family. Johnny was a great cook and loved sharing his talent with his family and friends. He will always be fondly remembered, deeply loved, and missed by all who knew him.
Johnny was preceded in death by his mother Priscilla Madril and one brother Ernest Madril.
Johnny will live on through his wife Mona Madril of the family home; daughters Juliette Madril, Desirre Ortega; son Johnny Madril all of Monte Vista, Colo.; Father George Martinez; in-laws Timi and Helen Medina; three sisters; Sharon Morey, Cindy Wade, Kathy Wade, and sister in-law Consuelo Madril; one brother Abedon (Dani) Madril A special Aunt Mary Martinez, Monte Vista, Colo. He is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, at 10 a.m. the Lariat Community Baptist Church in Monte Vista, Colo. With interment to follow at the Workers Union Cemetery, Monte Vista, Colo.
