Jean Ann Consaul (Meyer), age 39, of Center, Colo., passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2022.
Jean Ann was born Nov. 22, 1983, in Del Norte, Colo., to Galen and Melanie Meyer. She was the third of four siblings (Beau, Heather, Jean Ann, and Sandra). She was the peacemaker of the family and had a deep love and relationship with each of her siblings and parents.
Growing up Jean Ann attended Del Norte schools. She was friends with everyone, could beat anyone in a foot race, including the boys, and even her eventual husband Scott. She was active in many clubs/sports and easily one of the most likeable individuals one could ever meet. Jean Ann and Scott became high school sweethearts and graduated high school together in 2002. Jean Ann attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz., where she received her Bachelors of Education.
Following college, Jean Ann married her best friend, who was her high school and college sweetheart Scott Consaul on June 17, 2006. They started their careers in Brighton, Colo. Jean Ann was an elementary school teacher that poured her love and patience into the kids she taught. God blessed her to become a mother to Makenzie Jean and she poured even more love into motherhood. Jean Ann and Scott knew they wanted to return to their roots. God opened the door for them to move home and start farming where they set out together to work alongside each other and raise their family in Center, Colo. Shortly after moving back to the San Luis Valley God blessed them with their second beautiful daughter Elaina Joyce. Jean’s love for her girls was immeasurable.
Jean Ann worked hard and was a remarkable businesswoman as she and Scott worked together to grow Consaul Farms tilling the soil. She worked even harder to love on, encourage, and raise her girls. She was active in their school, 4-H, and sports. Jean Ann’s favorite thing in life was to spend time with her girls. She was their biggest cheerleader in the stands, and she loved their time working on pigs, traveling to shows, and living life to the fullest with her family. Jean Ann enjoyed doing anything to help others and she gave back to the community in countless ways. Jean Ann and Scott enjoyed 16 ½ years of marriage together making countless wonderful memories.
Jean Ann was a truly remarkable, bright, caring and giving lady who loved God. We know she is in heaven looking over all of us. She was an incredible mother and a loving wife. All of her immediate and extended family and friends truly loved her. She will be missed by so many people.
Jean Ann was preceded in death by her grandparents Ed Oliver and Joyce, Jack, and Earl Meyer.
Jean Ann is survived by her loving husband Scott Consaul, and their two daughters Makenzie and Elaina, her parents Galen and Melanie Meyer, siblings Beau Meyer, Heather Meyer, and Sandra (Justin) Ward, in-laws Craig and Greta Consaul, nieces and nephews, and her grandmother Martha Oliver.
