ALAMOSA — Many residents have noticed the new multifamily buildings being constructed west of Alamosa High School. The Iron Horse project is being built and developed by Northwest Real Estate Capital Corp. out of Boise, Idaho which will add 41 new housing units for households with incomes at 30 to 60 percent of the Area Median Income, or about $17,040 to $34,080 income annually for a two-person household in Alamosa.
Having housing that is affordable for our residents is crucial for our community and goes hand-in-hand with strong economic development and quality of life. These units fulfill some of Alamosa’s critical housing gaps as identified in the recent Housing Needs Assessment.
