Irene Percilla Duran, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on September 30, 2025. Born January 15, 1947, in Alamosa, Colorado, to Robert and Mary Martinez, Irene lived a life defined by warmth, compassion, and unwavering faith.
She married the love of her life, Felipe “Dicky” Duran, on July 17, 1965. The couple raised three daughters and built a home filled with love, laughter, and the values of family.
Irene was preceded in death by her two daughters, Nancy Duran and Julie Duran; her sisters Mary Medina and Rose Carassco; her brother Robert Martinez; her granddaughter Alysia Martinez; and her nephew Ron Martinez Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Felipe “Dicky” Duran; two daughters, Kristy Duran and Barbara Duran; four grandchildren, David (Brian) Duran, Julie Duran, Michael (Krista) Beltran, and Natalie Beltran; sisters Isabel Martinez and Margaret Martinez; and brother Ron (Marion) Martinez. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Irene will be remembered for her caring and loving nature, her generosity, and her unwavering dedication to her family. May Irene rest in peace, and may her memory forever be a blessing to those who had the privilege of knowing her.
