Work continues to progress on the new ice rink/multipurpose pavilion next to the Alamosa Family Recreation Center in southern Alamosa. The $2.8 million project will provide a venue for competitive and recreational ice hockey and skating events, with the ice temperature controlled by a chiller, as well as a venue for a variety of events during warmer months. The construction completion goal is sometime in January, giving local skaters some ice time yet this season.
