SAN LUIS — Costilla County firefighters responded to a house fire north of San Luis on Monday night, January 22 in which the occupants were displaced.
Seventeen firefighters responded to the house fire Monday night with four fire engines and two tenders.
“The fire was up in the attic, and the roof was coming down in the house,” stated Theldon Smith. He confirmed the house was not inhabitable at the time the firefighters left the scene.
The fire occurred Monday evening at a house about a half mile north of San Luis on Highway 159.
