ALAMOSA — Alamosa resident Henry Michael Lovato, 47, went to his eternal rest on September 28, 2019. Henry was welcomed into the world on August 18, 1972 in Alamosa, Colo., the son of Horace Lovato Sr., and Wilma Sanchez Lovato. Henry worked for many years as a mechanic, he had a drive and passion for fixing all different makes and models of cars. Henry was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who enjoyed going fishing, hunting, going for wood, riding his motorcycle and spending as much time as he could with his family and friends.
He will live on through his mother Wilma Lovato of Alamosa; daughter Shania Lovato of La Jara, Colo.; sons Joaquin Lovato, Jadon Lovato, both of La Jara, granddaughter Avery Rae Lovato of La Jara; mother of his children Amy Sanchez of La Jara; sister Bernadette Lovato of Alamosa; brothers Jesse Lovato and Andrew Lovato, both of Alamosa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Henry was preceded in death by his father Horace Lovato Jr., and brothers Leon Lovato and Ernest Lovato.
Cremation was chosen and a vigil service with recitation of the rosary will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10 a.m. also at Sacred Heart Church. Inurnment will follow at the Old Spanish Cemetery in Alamosa. To leave online condolences, please visit romerofuneralhomes.com.
