CAPULIN – Heaven welcomed a giving soul Gilbert (Gibby) Reginaldo Vigil, 75, who was called home on Dec. 31, 2024. Gilbert joined our heavenly father at the time of his passing.
He was welcomed into the world on July 14, 1949, in Capulin, Colo. He was born to Pete Sr. and Maria Vigil. He was the third of four children who were raised on the farm.
Gilbert was much loved and well known in his community. He loved spending time with his friends and family, going to the casino’s, listening to music, watching the news and watching the Denver Bronco games. He enjoyed spending time in his tractors working on the family farm as he loved watching the crops grow.
Gilbert definitely lived life to the fullest. Gilbert was a partner of “Vigil Farms” and a hay hauler for many years. He was a fourth-generation farmer. Gilbert graduated top of his class from Centauri High School in 1967, and later went to college in Denver, and he also worked at the Forest Service.
