Long-time Alamosa resident, Frances A. Hull passed peacefully in her sleep at the TenderCare Home in Denver, Colo., on Jan. 28, 2025.
Frances was 95 and was preceded in death by her husband Harry Hull.
She is survived by one sister, Lois Houder, two daughters: Judy Vaz and Jo Anne Allen, her husband Ruben and two grandsons, Adam, daughter-in-law Emily and Alex Allen.
Frances (Fran) was born in Chadron, Neb., in 1929 and graduated from Chadron State College in 1952 with a BA degree. In 1957, Fran and Harry moved to Alamosa, and in 1963 earned her MBA in Business from Adam State University.
Frances worked for many years as the Business Manager for Acheson’s Attic Furniture Store, retiring in 1990.
In 2019, Fran and Harry moved to Denver and lived at TenderCare Senior Home close to Jo Anne.
Fran was a life-long member of the 1st Church of Christ Scientists in Alamosa. She was involved with the Alamosa Chapter of Easter Star, Girl Scouts and participated in a Women’s Golf League for several years.
She will be missed by all her family.
