Local students showed their love for longtime Alamosa educator Jerry Reed who passed away Monday. Students from kindergarten to 12th grade donned Alamosa maroon gear in his honor Friday. Participating Ortega Middle School students joined together to form a heart representing Reed’s well-known line, “You Are Loved.” Alamosa Elementary 3-5 created a sign with the words as well, which all students signed. Reed will be honored in a service Saturday morning at 11 a.m.
