ALAMOSA – The Colorado High School Activities Association released its preseason wrestling rankings this week.

The rankings are posted on the CHSAANow.com web site

The boys poll was released on Thursday and four teams from the San Luis Valley are in the rankings.

In Class 3A, Centauri is the fourth-ranked team while Alamosa is ninth.

In Class 2A, Center and Monte Vista are tied for eighth.

The girls poll was posted on Friday. Alamosa is the only SLV team in the rankings as the Lady Mean Moose are ranked sixth in Class 4A.

There are two classifications in girls wrestling beginning this year - Class 5A and 4A.

The SLV wrestling season begins on Dec. 5.
