Alamosa firefighters respond to a brush fire by the Rio Grande behind the Adams State University baseball fields early Sunday afternoon. Firefighters and other emergency personnel were also busy Monday night with two head-on accidents with injuries, one on Highway 285 near Estrella south of Alamosa and another on North River Road, north of Alamosa.
