An introduction to the End of Life Options Act, also known as Medical Aid in Dying (MAID), its requirements, challenges and options were presented by Dr. Jennifer Harbert and Helen Lester, MSN, RN (shown) at the United Methodist Church in Alamosa on Saturday, October 7, to a group of 30 community members wishing to educate themselves further on this new law.  This public forum was co-sponsored by the General Federation of Women’s Citizens Club (GFWC) and District 6 of the Colorado Nurses Association.
