Tuesday’s wind-driven fire emergency in the Alamosa area appeared to be a favorite for “sightseers.” Sadly, even after mandatory evacuations, unnecessary traffic streamed through southern Alamosa apparently trying to get a “piece of the action.”
A piece of advice: in the event of a natural disaster, stay away. Get out of the way of first responders.
Above all, kudos to our first responders from throughout the SLV! And a special thanks to those caring individuals who rewarded them with hydration and sustenance. – Valley Courier
