ALAMOSA — Over the Labor Day weekend, the Early Iron Festival brought hundreds of car enthusiasts to Cole Park, where their vehicles were on display for all to enjoy. The event also attracted tourists to town that enjoyed the show, and all the San Luis Valley has to offer.
Roni Wisdom, with the event said, "The festival has a positive economic impact on the Valley. If you take just an average of two people per car, you've got a thousand people just coming into your community – not to mention everybody from the surrounding areas that come in all day Saturday or come in for Saturday night and just to see what's going on and go out."
Details regarding the winners of the festival and attendance figures will be in the Wednesday edition of the Valley Courier.
