CAÑON CITY — Four suspects from Alamosa have been arrested on drug charges in Cañon City.
Arrested on drug possession charges on Friday, May 26, were Jacinda Perea-Gonzales, 23, Denise Tollenaar, 43, Tyler Tollenaar, 29, and Alazon Suazo, 39, from Alamosa.
Officers checking out a homeowner's call about a suspicious vehicle in Cañon City on Friday afternoon arrested the four suspects now facing charges of narcotics possession.
The call came in Friday afternoon around 5 p.m. for a vehicle stopped on S. Fifth Street. Cañon City Police called in a K-9 unit the check out the car while officers spoke with everyone inside.
The K-9 indicated officers should take a closer look at the vehicle. According to CCPD, the arresting officers found 72.4 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 6 grams of suspected heroin, two firearms, $237 in cash, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
The suspects are being held without bond in Fremont County.
Perea-Gonzales is charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, conspiracy, and an outstanding warrant.
Denise Tollenaar is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Suazo is charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, possession of drug paraphernalia, conspiracy, and an outstanding warrant.
Tyler Tollenaar is charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and conspiracy.
