Deanna Marie Eppolito, 62, of Aurora, Colo., gained her angel wings on Jan. 14, 2023. She was born in Alamosa, Colo., on April 4, 1960 to John “Billy” and Tillie Valdez. She was the third of five siblings. She graduated from Alamosa High School in 1978 and moved to Denver in search of opportunity and excitement of big city living. In 1983, she met her friend, her love, Anthony “Tony” Eppolito. Love at first sight, they married on April 14 th , 1984 after meeting just nine months earlier. During their life together, they welcomed two sons into the world, Craig and Michael.
Deanna worked as a Personal Assistant to the Beardsley Family for 30 years. Her employers treated her like family, and demonstrated appreciation for her hard work.
Deanna loved to be surrounded by family. She loved to laugh, hug, and enjoy life. She was the center of her family. Deanna was a helper, always looking for ways to serve her loved ones with her time and energy. She was generous and gentle, yet spirited. She loved to give gifts especially at Christmas time, which was her most cherished holiday.
Deanna loved making her house a home and everyone who came over felt welcomed. She enjoyed hosting family reunions and summer barbeques. Bringing family together was her joy. If she was having fun, it was because Tony was by her side sharing the moments with her. They were inseparable. She delighted in watching her sons play baseball when they were kids and bowling with her friends. Deanna was a woman of many passions including family and being with her grandchildren.
Deanna is survived by her husband of 38 years, Anthony “Tony” Eppolito. Her children Craig Eppolito, his wife Katie, Michael Eppolito, and step-son Tony Eppolito. Grandchildren; Lillian and Tyler Eppolito. Mother Tillie Valdez. Brothers; Norman “Rick” Valdez and John Valdez. Sisters; Joanna (Carl) Laffin and Audrey (Craig) Moen. Nephews; Jason (Shauna) Tabeling and Thomas (Vanessa) Moen. Nieces; Valerie “Nicole” Valdez (TJ) and Sarah (Greg) Cherabie. She is preceded in death by her father, John “Bill” Valdez.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March, 10th 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 715 Fourth St. Alamosa, Colorado 81101 at 9 AM.
