During Wednesday’s Alamosa city council meeting Deputy Alamosa City Clerk Lochelle Montano, right, administers the oath of office to Kristina Daniel, left, who was appointed Tuesday night to serve the remainder of Ty Coleman’s at-large term. The seat opened up when Coleman was elected mayor last month.
Daniel, who lost her Ward 2 bid for re-election by one vote, was one of about a dozen residents seeking the at-large vacancy. “I am so thankful to have the opportunity to serve and continue to serve in this new role,” Daniel said.
