Longtime La Jara resident Constance “Connie” Sue Shaff, 82, passed away on April 9, 2023, at the Evergreen Nursing Home in Alamosa. She was born on Nov. 29, 1940, in Kalamazoo, Mich., to William and Frances (Hill) Marquis. She truly loved spending time with her family.
Connie is survived by her husband of 66 years, James Shaff, her children, Susan Marie (John) Durham and Sally Noreen Shaff, her grandchildren, Tiffany Wunderlich, Robert Wunderlich and Kaylea Worm, seven great grandchildren as well as her sister Marjorie Warnix.
She was preceded in death by son James Clinton Shaff II, and sisters Sally Tanos and Patty Bacon.
Cremation was selected and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
