Conrado (Conrad) Raymundo Garcia, 77, passed away on Jan. 20, 2023, surrounded by his wife and members of his immediate family. He was born on Jan. 26, 1945, in San Luis, Colo., to Maria Medina Garcia and Meliton Garcia.
On Sept. 23, 1981, Conrad married the love of his life, Acela Castellanos and they lived in Los Angeles, Calif., until Conrad retired, and they moved to San Luis.
He worked as an electrical engineer for many years and after his retirement he spent his free time doing what he most enjoyed, which was fishing. He also enjoyed restoring old cars and working on upholstery.
Conrad was a humble, kind and giving man, always one to help anyone in need. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Acela Garcia of San Luis, Colo., his sons Conrad Garcia, Jr. (Josie), from Los Angeles, Fernando Espejo from Los Angeles and Meliton Garcia from Arizona and two daughters, Valerie Ceballos (Frank) and Alejandra Espejo from Arizona. He is also survived by a brother, Samuel Garcia (Laura) from Los Angeles and a sister, Christine Hloucha from Chamberlain, S.D. Also surviving Conrad are five grandchildren, Ronnie, Samantha, Robert (Beto), Jorge Jazmine and many extended family members and friends.
Conrad was preceded in death by his parents, Meliton and Maria Garcia, his grandson, Shawn Garcia two sisters, Yvonne DeHerrera and Yvette Gallegos and his brother Donald Garcia..
Vigil service and recitation of the rosary will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. and the mass of the resurrection will follow at 10 a.m. at the Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church in San Luis. Interment will follow at the San Luis cemetery.
