EAGLE— The Rio Grande Rattlers Composite Mountain Bike Team finished up a very successful season at the Colorado State Championship Haymaker course in Eagle, Colorado on Sunday October 22nd. Two members of the first-year Rattlers qualified for the state race.

Cameron Roberts (Monte Vista High School) started in the 14th position and blazed to a 12th place finish out of 100 freshmen riders, missing a 10th place podium finish by just 4 seconds. His time for the twelve mile race was 53:02:37.
Sophomore Kristen David (Sargent High School), started in 39th place and passed thirteen racers on her way to finish in 26th place in the state with a time of 1:12:02 on the two lap, twelve mile course.
The Rio Grande Rattlers Inaugural season could not have been possible without the support of all the Team sponsors and the rider’s parents who contributed food and drinks, camping equipment and transportation.
