Celebrate the holiday season with Colorado Parks and Wildlife
COLORADO—It’s time to welcome the holiday season and all of the magic it can bring. It’s the season to celebrate the chill in the air, the snow in the mountains, the crackle of a roaring fire and time spent with friends and family. This year, Colorado Parks and Wildlife gives several options to make Colorado's great outdoors a part of holiday traditions.
State park events
Enjoy a helping of holiday cheer at one of several state park events. State parks are offering several unique events that showcase their recreational opportunities, all with a holiday twist. Spend some time exploring one of holiday open houses, participate in the Christmas bird count, or bring the kids to a holiday pajama party. Explore the CPW calendar to learn more about winter events.
Holiday gift ideas
Need a special gift for the outdoor enthusiast or sportsman on your list? Check out the visitors center at a state park for one-of-a-kind items or visit the online store to find fishing maps, field guides, patches and decals, wild game cookbooks and other unique ideas for the nature lover in your life.
Gift certificates
Let loved ones choose a gift of outdoor experiences this holiday. Colorado Parks and Wildlife Gift Certificates can be redeemed at parks or CPW offices for hunting or fishing licenses, park passes, camping fees, OHV and snowmobile permits and more. Gift certificates can be purchased online or at any CPW office or park.
Colorado Outdoors magazine
For a one-size-fits-all gift, consider a subscription to Colorado Outdoors magazine. A subscription to Colorado Outdoors puts the state’s great outdoors right into the hands of loved ones. Each issue provides spectacular photography along with valuable insights from our hunting, fishing and conservation experts. In addition, readers can learn about special events, environmental news, volunteer opportunities and more. Each subscription includes the choice of the hunting guide or fishing guide—or get both guides for just $2.50 more!
The staff and volunteers of Colorado Parks and Wildlife wish all a happy and healthy holiday season. For more information on winter recreation ideas, visit cpw.state.co.us.
