Beverly M. Jack

Beverly M. Jack, 87, passed away in Clearfield, Utah, on Dec. 29, 2022. She was born Oct. 28, 1935, in Great Falls, Mont., to Lloyd E. and Helen Prestwich Moss. She was married in the Salt Lake Temple to James Lonell Johnson. They were married from 1956 to 1969. In 1972, she married her current husband Robert James Jack. She lived in Great Falls, Mont., Moroni, Utah, Grand Junction, Colo., Durango, Colo., Prove, Utah (BYU), Yreka, Calif., Caldwell, Idaho, Nampa, Idaho, and Alamosa, Colo.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as Relief Society President, Sunday School teacher, Chorister, Girls Camp Director, Young Women’s President, Relief Society teacher, and visiting teacher.  Beverly also served as a Temple ordinance worker in the Denver, Colo., and Albuquerque, N.M., Temples. She was also PTA President.

She was employed as a LDS book seller.  She also had a degree in accounting.

Beverly enjoyed playing the violin, singing, painting, ceramics, sewing and reading.  She was an excellent homemaker.

She is survived by her husband Robert J. Jack, her children; Tawnia Paver (Don), Trudi Adams, Richard Johnson, Russell Johnson, Cynthia Sowards (Jim), Cydrie Vesser (David), Robert Jack (Shawna), James Jack (Laura), her siblings; Connie Knight (Edwin), Sheila Walter-Zufelt (Larry), Joseph Moss (Karla), 30 grandchildren, and 50 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Lonell Johnson, her parents; Lloyd E. and Helen P. Moss, TJ Bird, Kyle Galyon and Skip Adams.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the Rock Creek Ward, Third and Richardson in Alamosa, Colo. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rogers Family Mortuary, 205 State Ave., Alamosa, Colo. Interment will follow services in the Sanford Cemetery.
