Arthur Frank Medina was called to heaven to be with the lord on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born on April 21, 1941, to Vicente Medina and Cecelia Archuleta in Monte Vista, Colo. Art then married the love of his life Christina Jiron on May 18, 1962. He worked as a Rancher in Sargent, Colo. Following that, he moved his family to Montrose, Colo., and worked in the hard rock mines in Silverton and Telluride. Later in his life, he then worked for the school district as a Janitor.
Arthur is survived by his wife Tina, Daughters Audrey Medina, Berlinda Medina (Chencho Morales), granddaughter Leslie Nevarez, great-granddaughters Maribel and Lyanna Nevarez, great-grandson Isaac Nevarez his buddy, great-great-granddaughter Malaina Nevarez his Honey, only surviving sister Betty Gonzales. Special mention Anthony (Annie) Alarid and David Tafoya. As well as numerous special brothers in laws, sister in laws. Especially Jenny Samora. God children and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Anthony Medina, siblings Charlotte, Teddy, Sammy, Sofia, Lillian and Lucy.
Arthur served his country in the Army National Guard Reserves from 1959 to 1966 with an honorable discharge from the Army of the United States.
His last days were fishing with his buddy Isaac and was in Cahoots with his brother Ernie Samora gambling in New Mexico casino's. He was a big WWE wrestling fan and Dallas Cowboys fan.

A Vigil with recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at St. Joseph's church in Monte Vista. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 15, also at the church.
Interment will follow in the Monte Vista Cemetery.
