Duane Zanotelli ’72 ’73 returned to his alma mater as a saxophone guest clinician for the Adams State Top of the Nation Honor Band. A retired high school teacher Zanotelli also presented a talk on the music profession. “Adams State is a very congenial school and the professors take the time to work with students individually. The students here receive better training in all areas. Once you graduate, no one cares what school you went to or what directors you studied with, or what music you played, they want to know if you learned anything.” The Top of the Nation Honor Band attracted over 150 high school instrumentalists from Colorado and Texas.
