ALAMOSA — The public is invited to the ribbon cutting of the Alamosa Pantry’s new building — 802 State Ave. — on Thursday, Nov. 7. This event marks a milestone for our community, improving food accessibility and equity for those in need.
Open house tours from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. and ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m.
The Alamosa Pantry, part of La Puente’s Food Bank Network of the San Luis Valley, collaborates with local partners to provide fresh produce, shelf-stable goods, and essential items, ensuring that none of our neighbors go hungry. Everyone deserves access to nutritious food, and our choice-based system empowers patrons to select food that meets their specific needs.
The new building features an ADA-compliant layout, a waiting room, a community teaching kitchen, offices, and large storage areas. We want to invite the community to celebrate with us, explore the space, and honor local volunteers and partners who dedicated their time, skills, and finances to this project.
