Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office Activity Report Aug. 2 to Aug. 17, 2023

What follows is a summary of activity taken by the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) for a two-week period running from Aug. 2 to Aug. 17.
In terms of speeding, ACSO issued a total of 35 citations over a period of two weeks to drivers traveling from 10-19 mph to 20-39 mph over the posted limits.
Specifically, ACSO issued 15 citations for exceeding the speed limit by 10-19 mph and 20 citations for drivers speeding from 20-39 mph over the limit.
There were also a significant number of citations written for traffic and other violations, including:
Three citations for driving a defective vehicle;
Four citations for displaying expired tags;
One citation for failing to display valid registration;
Two citations for failure to stop at a stop sign;
Two citations for dog at large, one cited as a vicious animal.
One citation written for following too closely;
Three citations for driving under restraint;
One citation for engaging in a nuisance exhibition of motor vehicle exhaust; and
Two citations for careless driving and DUI.
Additional citations for violations included:
Stevie Maez, 23, of Alamosa was cited for careless driving and DUI for alcohol or drugs or both.
Lourdes Montoya, 21, of Alamosa was cited for indecent exposure and criminal mischief at the Dollar General at 366 Santa Fe.
Michael Shea, 42, of Alamosa was cited for assault in the third degree at 11484 CR 2 South.
A juvenile, whose name cannot legally be made public, was cited for harassment in Mosca.
Another juvenile, also unnamed, was cited for assault in the third degree, also in Mosca.
Jarmey Gulley of Alamosa was cited for harassment and domestic violence at 9365 Agate Court.
Manuel Martinez of Alamosa was cited for violation of a protection order at Highway 150 Mile Marker 15.
Kristen Jean Rafael of Alamosa was cited with five counts of violation of a protection order at Highway 150 Mile Marker 15.
Jeanetta Trujillo of Alamosa was cited for false reporting of identifying information to law enforcement authorities at Highway 150 Mile Marker 15.
A juvenile was cited for child abuse without injury, illegal consumption of ethyl alcohol, underage, careless driving, DUI — alcohol or drugs or both and driving a vehicle with blood alcohol content of .008 or more.
Bessie Rafael, 49, of Alamosa was cited for two counts of child abuse without injury and unlawful acts involving alcohol at Highway 150 Mile Marker 15.
Aaron Hall, 36, of Alamosa was cited for violating restrictions on License-Interlock device, careless driving and violation of a protection order in the 300 block of Santa Fe.
William Jimmy Julio Aponte was cited for assault in the second degree — strangulation and domestic violence at 7511 Apache Tear Trail.
