ALAMOSA— About 150 people attended the Celebration of Lights celebration in Alamosa on Friday, where Mayor Ty Coleman was assisted by enthusiastic children who helped in turning the holiday lights on at City Hall and the Christmas Tree.
Coleman was joined by Council Member Dawn Krebs, Dalton Carelo with Alamosa Parks and Recreation, City Manager Heather Sanchez, and Alamosa County Commissioner Lori Laske. Coleman thanked those in attendance on behalf of the City of Alamosa for attending the 16th annual Celebration of Lights.
Before the event, Coleman told the Valley Courier, “Our city employees have done a wonderful job decorating our city and getting everything ready for the Celebration of Lights event! I would like to thank our Parks and Recreation crew for brightening up our city for all to see!"
Musicians from Adams State University serenaded the crowd with Christmas carols.
