VALLEY — Colorado State Patrol responded to a crash involving five separate vehicles on Tuesday, and Highway 17 was closed for a time.
A secondary crash involved a fuel truck rear-ended by a pickup truck whose driver could not see the stopped traffic because of low visibility, less than 50 feet at one point according to Trooper William Houde who responded to the accidents on Tuesday.
Houde reported that the driver of the fuel truck was uninjured, and the driver of the pickup truck was transported to the SLV Regional Medical Center as a precaution. He did not appear to be seriously injured.
