MANASSA – Ernestina Romero, a cherished mother, partner, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sept. 30, 2024, in La Jara, Colo., where she was also born on June 17, 1968. Her life was a testament to her strength, creativity, and passion, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

Tobias L. Romo, affectionately known as Toby, was born on April 5, 1961, in Embudo, N.M. He passed away peacefully on Sept. 25, 2024, in Colorado Springs, Colo., surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with illness. 

Our beloved cowboy, Ernesto “The Barber” Sanchez took his last ride on Sept. 30, 2024, at the age of 78. Ernesto was born in Cañon de Chama on Jan. 15, 1946, to Patricio S. and Rebecca G. Sanchez. 

Eduwiges "Vicky" Corral, born on Oct. 22, 1956, in Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, Mexico, passed away on Sept. 25, 2024, of Center, Colo. She is now with her mom (Arcenia Majalca), dad (Fidel Corral), and brother (Manuel Corral). 

Beloved Del Norte resident Carol Dawn Duran was called home to be reunited with the Lord on Sept. 26, 2024. She passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side. Carol was welcomed into the world on Dec. 16, 1978, she is the daughter of Joseph Duran and Elizabeth (Archuleta) Duran.

Virginia MJ Casados, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family following a bout with cancer, on Sept. 20, 2024, in Center, Colo. Born on Feb. 27, 1935, in a modest railroad house between the tracks on the south side of Alamosa, Herb's journey through life was as remarkable as the man himself.

Doris Lucile Hathaway has left her earthly journey to celebrate her eternal destination. Doris was born on June 30, 1938, in Monte Vista, Colo., and entered into her eternal rest on Sept. 8, 2024, at Pikes Peak Hospice Care in Colorado Springs.
