Zacheis Planetarium to resume free movies

ALAMOSA – Future scientists, amateur space gazers, and rock and mineral collectors are welcome to expand their knowledge at Adams State University. The School of Science, Mathematics, and Technology resumes scheduled planetarium movies and night-sky viewing at the observatory and the Ryan Museum will host open hours throughout the semester. All programs are free and open to the public on a first come, first serve basis. No tickets are required.

The Adams State Observatory will host free telescope viewings of the night sky at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30; 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16; and 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28. The Observatory is located on the north end of campus behind the baseball field.

Check out over 5000 world-class mineral and fossil specimens in the Edward M. Ryan Geology Museum, located in Porter Hall room 115. Hours are 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursdays, beginning October 1.
