Monte Vista resident Xavier Sanchez was born on June 29, 2004. He died on March 21, 2023. He was 18 years old and passed away at his great-grandmother's home.  Xavier was born in Alamosa, Colo., and spent nearly all of his life in Colorado.

He was attending high school and was scheduled to graduate this year. Xavier was very into athletics and art. He showed his creativity in everything he did, including his cooking, drawing and fitness routines. Xavier also loved to play chess. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan and a football fanatic in general.

Xavier is survived by his parents Kenneth Sanchez, Mother Lourdes, older brother Santiago Sanchez, little brothers Daniel Sanchez, Kenneth Sanchez Jr., little sisters Arianny Sanchez and Janessa, grandparents, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Anyone who knew Xavier, knew just how bright and loving he truly was. He was taken away from us too soon and will remain greatly loved remembered and forever missed.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the Nazarene Church in Monte Vista with Reception to follow. The care of arrangements has been entrusted to Romero Funeral Home of Monte Vista.
