Bill served in the Navy for 21 years and enjoyed many experiences and opportunities as well as living in Naples, Italy and San Diego, CA during that time. After retiring from the Navy in 1980, the family moved to Alamosa, CO.  Bill and Betty moved to Colorado Springs in 1999 to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his two children and their spouses, Doug and Sarah MacLeod, Scott and Susie Stricker, four grandchildren; and brother, Robert, of Arizona.

Bill is remembered as a man of integrity, adventure, hard work and fun. He had many interests ranging from painting, camping and fishing to riding bareback broncs in rodeos.
