SANFORD —Longtime Sanford resident Virginia Lee Edgar passed away September 26, 2020.  Virginia was born in Alamosa Colorado August 20, 1935, to Marvin (Pete) and Iza Evelyn Anderson.  She married Clive Lemuel Edgar September 1, 1952, in Taos, Mexico and sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa Arizona Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints April 13, 1962.  Virginia spent most of her life doing what she loved, being a mother, homemaker, and grandmother.  She loved quilting, canning, ceramics, tole painting, reading, listening to music, and helping her husband Clive with his turquoise and jewelry business.  Virginia was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed working with others through various callings.  Grandma Virginia always had cookies waiting for her grandchildren when they visited.  She was known by many, for her sweet and kind spirit.  She always thought the best of others.  Mom was always devoted to her family and loved family gatherings.  She loved her childhood and would often share stories of growing up on their ranch in Los Cerritos. 

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Iza Anderson, her husband Clive Edgar, daughter Loralee Robinson, son Bryan Edgar, son-in-law Thomas Robinson, sister-in-law Carolyn Anderson, and an infant sister Tyrrel Rose Anderson. 

Virginia is survived by her sons, Anthony (Gabriela) Edgar of St. Johns, Fla., Kevin (Connie) Edgar of Sanford, Darren (Monica) Edgar of Sanford, 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.  She is also survived by her siblings Gary Anderson of Manassa, Monte (Cindy) Anderson of Manassa, Roxie (Wade) Peterson of Sanford, Carla(Lyle) Hutchins of Claremore, Okla., as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Manassa Colorado on Friday, October 2 from 9:30-10:30 a.m.  followed by a graveside service at the Manassa Cemetary.
