Verna Kay Clark Eyl passed away quietly March 2nd, 2017, at the age of 71.

Verna was born on April 5th, 1945 at the Alamosa Community Hospital, Alamosa, CO. Her hometown was La Jara, CO and she spent her childhood there.

Verna attended and graduated from Catholic High School St. Scholastica Academy in Canon City, CO. She then went on to attend Brigham Young University for one year prior to her marriage.

She met her soul mate, Denny, at a 4th of July dance in Center, CO in 1963. The two later married September 19th, 1964. Verna and Denny were husband and wife for 52 years.

Verna continued her education in Accounting that led to her position as bookkeeper at Sagewood Middle School of Parker, CO. After 24 years of service, Verna retired in 2001.

Verna was a dedicated, loving wife and mother and is survived by her husband Denny, son Denny of Aurora, CO, son Clark and wife Jocelyn of Parker, CO and took tremendous pride in their children Colby and Kaylee.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon William Clark and mother, Beverly Orton Clark.
Verna will be truly missed and thought of often and lovingly.
