Vehicle rolls over on Hwy. 17, but no one seriously injured

ALAMOSA — It was dark and slippery as an unidentified vehicle went off the road 10 miles north of Alamosa on Wednesday.

Three passengers were traveling north on Highway 17 when the vehicle went off the west side of the road at about 5:30 p.m., State Trooper Mitchell Wilson said. It went down an embankment and rolled until it stopped more than 100 feet from the road.

“It went for a distance and rolled,” State Trooper Mitchell Wilson said. “EMS came on scene. They had to transport one girl to the hospital to check, make sure everything’s OK, but it looks like everybody is going to be all right.

“I still have to take measurements to determine what had happened.”
