ALAMOSA — The Valley Community Concert Choir presents “Season of Hope: Reflection of the Child,” a concert of ancient texts and contemporary choral music with compositions by Kim Andre Arensen, Franz Biebl, Abbie Betinis and Eric Whitacre.

The choir will appear in concert at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Monte Vista First Presbyterian Church and again at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Alamosa Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Tickets are $5 for general public and free for AS&F members and are available at the door. Proceeds go to the Martha Oliver Award for a graduating high school senior who contributes vocally to their school and community. “Come and join us for a meaningful and moving evening,” said David Schneider, director.
