Trey Buddington Jackson

Trey Buddington Jackson, born December 17, 1988, to Vaughn and Sue Jackson, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Friday, August 31, 2018, in Sunset, Utah.  Trey lived life to the fullest.  He was active in numerous activities growing up, such as 4-H and high school and collegiate athletics.  Trey graduated from Centauri High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society.  He was also an Eagle Scout.  He attended Dixie State College, where he excelled on the football team, and completed his Associates degree.  After college he worked as a Wildland Hot Shot firefighter for several years, where he traveled the country and affected the lives of many people.  Following his stint as a Hot Shot, he had several jobs as a heavy equipment operator and diesel mechanic.  Throughout his life Trey was passionate about fixing things, which lead to his career with the Operating Engineers Local # 3 as an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor with Ames Construction. Trey was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

His greatest fulfillment was being a husband and a father.  He loved spending time with his family, friends and loved ones, going to the mountains, hunting, fishing, riding snowmobiles, shooting, camping and lending a helping hand to those in need.  Trey had a huge heart and was always willing, and looking to help others in need no matter who or where they were.  Trey was adored by his many nieces, nephews and cousins and all the smart people he came in contact with.  Trey had a huge sense of humor, was tender hearted and always concerned with the feelings of others.  Trey feared nothing, and was always willing to try anything once.  Trey had an infectious smile that lit up the room and will never be forgotten.  He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sydney, and daughter, Lainee, his parents, Vaughn and Sue Jackson, his siblings, KariAnn (Travis) Christiansen, Hurricane, Utah, Vaughn D. (Nicole) Jackson, Knoxville, Tennessee, Mark L. (Jennifer) Jackson, La Jara, Colorado, Brett T. (Sara) Jackson, Rexburg, Idaho, his grandmother, Karen R.
