Thom Miller resigns from school board

ALAMOSA — On Monday night Director of district 1 Thom Miller resigned from his position on the Alamosa Board of Education for a job opportunity in Montrose. 

His resignation will go into effect on July 1. Having served the board for seven months, Miller was sworn into his position on November 17.

In his resignation letter to the board Monday night, Miller thanked all of those involved in the Alamosa school district and said there is no higher calling than to “pour ourselves into the next generation.”

The BOE will be accepting new applications until July 18 and will interview candidates for the position on August 6.
