ALAMOSA – The 2022 Cats Classic motocross event will take place July 9-10 at the Sutak family track which is located at 8131 County Road 11 South in Alamosa County.

This event is a thank you to the county for its marketing support over the years.

This year will be the Rocky Mountain Vintage Motocross Club which also sanctions modern bikes along with the early iron bikes. The club has age classifications from primary school to 70-year-old legends. There are skill classes, novice, amateur and expert. The RMVMC handles all of the sign-ups, clerking and point tabulations.

The Sutak family track was established in 1972 when the San Luis Valley 2-wheelers decided to start Enduros in 1973. It was established by Dwight Catalano and Mark Sutak and the track is the second-oldest track in Colorado next to Colorado Springs Aztec Speedway.
