ALAMOSA — With the heavy snowstorm that occurred on Tuesday, September 8th that caused trees and branches to fall, The Rickey Recycling Center is seeing an overflow in green waste debris being taken to the center.  The City of Alamosa has created temporary drop off sites focused on collecting tree debris only. Those who have the ability to collect and dispose of tree debris may take their collections to any of the following locations. 

*       East corner of Jardin Hermosa Park

*       Parking lot of Friends Park

*       East side of Carroll Park (North of the tennis courts)

*       Parking lot (North West of the State Avenue bridge)

Please see the map for directions. These temporary collection sites are available until September 21st. Reminder, these sites are ONLY available for tree debris. Garbage will not be accepted.  These temporary sites are only available to city residents who have trash services through the city.  For questions or additional assistance, please contact the Public Works Office at 719-589-6631.
