Steffens celebrate 60th

COLORADO SPRINGS — Harold and Margaret Steffens will be celebrating 60 years of marriage this month. 

They were married in Monte Vista on May 18, 1957. Harold served in the Air Force during the first few years of their marriage. After he was honorably discharged, they farmed in the San Luis Valley and both were very active in the Sargent and surrounding communities.

In 2005 they retired to Oracle, Arizona. After missing their home state, they moved back to Colorado and settled in Colorado Springs in 2014 where they reside today.

They are parents to four children: Terry (Curt) Stults of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Rick (Nancy) Steffens of Windsor, Rod (Rosey) Steffens of Lake George, and Randy (Sherie) Steffens of Tucson Arizona.  They are also proud grandparents to eight grandchildren: Steffani (Joe) Grande, Kim (Aaron) Bright, Brandon Wright, Jeremy (Katie) Steffens, Nathan Steffens, Dylan Stults, Karly and Derek Steffens and six great grandchildren: Lauryn and CJ Grande, AJ and Clara Wright, and Katelyn and Lyal Bright.
