St. Stephen's shares services

MONTE VISTA — St. Stephen the Martyr Church will host this year’s Monte Vista community Good Friday service at 7 p.m. at the corner of Third and Washington Streets. The service will be in the form of Tenebrae, meaning “darkness” or “shadows,” and traces Christ’s passion with a series of scripture readings and meditations in the quiet of a dark sanctuary lit only by candles. Various members of the Monte Vista community will participate in the service.

An Easter service will be held at St. Stephen’s beginning at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Pope celebrating the Eucharist. All are welcome to join in the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior.
